Objectives

By the end of this elective, students should have achieved an understanding of:

1. The normal patterns of eating in adolescence
2. How eating disorders present in adolescence
3. The impact of an eating disorder on education/adolescent development/families

• Clinical experience: take a history and conduct a clinical examination of an inpatient with an eating disorder and focus on objective 3 (above); attend a Healthy Eating clinic
