Objectives

1. Audit the number and breadth of presentations of adolescents to Sunshine Hospital
2. Observe ways in which adolescents interact with the hospital system
3. Understand specific adolescent developmental needs and vulnerabilities
4. Practice communication skills with adolescents

• Weekly adolescent health clinic (medical and gynaecological)
• Weekly young mothers (obstetric) clinic
• The paediatric/adult Emergency Department
• Weekly Paediatric ward adolescent team meetings
• Participate in adolescent psychosocial screening at hospital admission
