How to apply - Bachelor of Science (Honours)

Prerequisites

To enrol in the Bachelor of Science (Honours) course, you must have successfully completed at least 50 points at 300-level (third year) science subjects relevant to medical or biological research (such as Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Immunology or Microbiology).

How to apply

Initially, identify one or more projects that interest you and make a time to meet and discuss with the supervisors of those projects. You should choose several projects to discuss, because placement is competitive and your first choice of project might not be available.

Next, complete the project preference form [preference form for 2009 PDF 18k] and email or post the form to the course co-ordinator, Associate Professor Fosang. At the same time, complete the University of Melbourne, Faculty of Science application for admission form [Application form for 2009 Honours PDF 57k] and submit this form, with your signature, to Associate Professor Fosang, along with the documentation as specified. This information will be forwarded to the Faculty of Science by the Department of Paediatrics.

Successful applicants will be contacted in December.
