The Themis Research System

Themis Research is a Research Management System (RMS); an information technology tool designed to support the University's management and administration of research. Researchers have access to their grant and research contract details including budgets, expenditure and deadlines through their Themis account. Themis will notify researchers of reporting and financial transaction deadlines by email.

Grant applications are now submitted through Themis.

Themis also contains a researcher profile for each individual researcher, outlining contact details, research interests, grants and publications. Ultimately these profiles will be accessible by the general public.

For more information about Themis-Research, visit the MRO Research Management System website.

To view your Themis Researcher Profile, go to the Department of Paediatrics profile page.

To log on to Themis, go to the Themis home page.

If you have any difficulties or questions, contact the Department Manager on 9345 5013.

Intellectual property and commercialization

The management of Intellectual Property (IP) is a vital component of all research activities. It is not just an issue to consider at the time research results are generated, but should be part of one's thinking, even at the early stages of conception of a research project. The Melbourne Research Office (MRO) provides useful information and advice regarding intellectual property management. The MRO works closely with the University's commercial arm, Melbourne Ventures, to ensure that the University's IP is managed effectively. They provide a broad range of advice and practical support across the research and development continuum.
